Bonampak is a brickbusting game, with a lot of action and an interesting storyline. The game is set in an ancient world, inhabited by elves, wizards, and dark forces. After 3000 years of peace, the evil forces from Bonampak are back to finish their mission: restore the Rombus crystal and use it to dominate the world. The objective of the game is to stop these forces and destroy the crystal.

To do so, you have to get through a series of levels, all based on the Arkanoid-like style of gameplay. To complete a level, you need to destroy all the bricks in the gamefield, controlling a ball using a bat or platform, preventing the ball from falling off the bottom of the screen. As you destroy bricks, you have to pay attention to the number of bonus items and power-ups that appear, as they can help you in different ways: for example, by enlarging the ball or the platform, increasing the ball speed, or giving you extra lives. However, bear in mind that not all the items will be helpful.

The game has three levels of skill, which can be set before starting. The platform is controlled with the mouse, and although handling it is rather complicated at first, because mouse response is a bit unstable and slow, some minutes of practice may help. The game can be played in windowed or full-screen mode, and offers a set of options to control the music, the sound, and the visual effects. The game's graphics are nicely done, with lots of details that illustrate this fantasy world, and great animations.

You can play a fully functional trial version of Bonampak for 60 minutes.
